The Morris County Green Table held its first meeting on February 23, 2000.  This organizational meeting
focused on partnership opportunities for land conservation in Morris County.  The participants, which included
representatives from local, county, state and federal government, as well as nonprofit organizations agreed that
there was a need for a forum such as the Green Table and requested the Steering Committee to plan future
meetings.  Since this meeting the Green Table has hosted a series of meetings to broaden awareness of local
conservation efforts and opportunities throughout Morris County.
